Version 2026-10 · Effective 8 October 2026
serverless.au is shared infrastructure. To keep it fast, safe and available for everyone, you must not use serverless.au — or let anyone else use your account — to do any of the following.
Not allowed
- Cryptocurrency mining or proof-of-work computation of any kind, including "testing" miners.
- Attacking or probing others: denial-of-service, network or vulnerability scanning of systems you don't own or have written permission to test, brute-forcing credentials, or exploiting vulnerabilities.
- Spam and abuse: sending unsolicited bulk email or messages, running open mail relays or open proxies, or operating VPN/proxy services that let others hide abusive activity.
- Malware: hosting, distributing or controlling malware, botnets, phishing sites or command-and-control servers.
- Illegal or harmful content: anything unlawful in Australia or where it's accessed, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes others' intellectual property, or content that promotes violence.
- Breaking out or getting around limits: attempting to escape the sandbox, access other customers' pods or data, interfere with serverless.au's systems, or avoid billing, quotas or suspensions (for example by creating multiple accounts).
- Unfair use of shared hardware: deliberately degrading the service for others, for example through sustained disk or network abuse beyond what your pod reasonably needs.
